The end of the year is soon upon us….time to take stock of our goals and re-evaluate what we want to accomplish for the new year!  That was the theme of tonight’s meeting and it was very apt, great job Toastmaster Ed!  Venkata reminded us all that it’s all too easy to be hacked, so unless you want your ACCESS DENIED, it’s always good to do proper research before purchasing electronics and to routinely change your passwords to keep our on-line lives safe!  During Lisa’s speech she reviewed the roles during the meeting which was a great refresher for established members as well as a fantastic source of information for new members and guests.

Tonight were treated to not one, not two but THREE special occasions tonight!  Cooper, our fearless Area Director, joined the meeting to bestow her coveted frogs on two new recipients of academic awards; Valerie earned her CC(Competent Communicator) and Ravi completed his CL(Competent Leader). Great job guys!  Next, we voted for our slate of officers for the next Toastmasters term.  We are pleased to report that no fists or mud were thrown and all officers were elected with ease. Congratulations to the new officers, we are excited to have such a hard-working and dedicated team!

Lastly, we were lucky enough to induct Sparanza, an eager and excited new member that from her first visit became a natural fit for our Preston Persuader family.  We welcome her and are glad to have her smiling face in our midst.

December 12th will be our last meeting before we break for the holidays.  We will reconvene on January 9th so don’t forget to get your last fix of the year and join us next week.  See you then!!
