Monday night’s meeting was very energetic - we had a full house! With Toastmaster Son Nguyen leading the way with some great food for thought from a book called The Slight Edge (which was also our theme of the day), we transitioned to the prepared speeches only after setting the tone with some great laughs from our Joke Master Valerie Harris.
Ravi Meganathan started us off with a highly informative and equally entertaining speech about the company 3M (sand paper, anyone?). Eric Tangumonkem also rocked the stage with his speech “Rocks Rock” which had everyone really engaged. And last but not least, Ven Kurvari gave a speech from the Successful Club Series, entitled “Moment of Truth,” and let us gather for a group activity afterwards to discuss how our club could improve. Speakers and helpers were all on point today, especially Valerie who set a new record and took home prizes in 3 categories! Also, a special shout out to Mickey Bennett's mother Cindy for coming to visit all the way from Indiana!
